Controleer de uitlaat temperatuur warmtewisselaar – Check the outlet temperature of the heat exchanger

Warmtewisselaar

  2. De warmtewisselaar kan vervuild zijn. Ook dan heb je een installateur nodig.

The final check you can perform is whether the floor‑heating water is being cooled sufficiently by Eneco’s cold water inside the heat exchanger.

The heat exchanger is the black “box” located above the manifold. The thermostatic valve with the temperature scale (in degrees Celsius) is on the supply side of the Eneco circuit. The copper pipe on the same side of the heat exchanger is the outlet of the floor‑heating circuit. Feel whether the copper pipe is roughly as cool/cold as the metal of the thermostatic valve.

Yes → The floor cooling appears to be working properly and is likely performing as well as it can. To lower the temperature in your apartment further, you will need good sun‑shading, and you can use the bypass‑boost function of your ventilation unit (Activate bypass boost). Finally, please take a moment to read this as well: how to set the heating or cooling mode

No → If the copper pipe feels warmer than the thermostatic valve, two things may be happening:

  1. Something is partially blocking the flow in the Eneco circuit.

This could be the small valves underneath the delivery set or one of the two thermostatic valves. You can try turning the thermostatic valves back and forth a few times to see if that helps. If the copper pipe remains warmer, you will need an installer.

  1. The heat exchanger may be contaminated.

In that case as well, you will need an installer.
